| There is nothing worse than being given a diagnosis of cancer especially for the second time. The thoughts that run through your head, that your life is up, about the loved ones you will leave behind, yet 'whats going to happen to me now', and fearing death is imminent.
Alison Wyndham's Father faced this exact scenario four years ago upon discovering he had another malignant tumour. Putting himself through the trauma of going under the knife was not an option after his first round with cancer. Fevered research ensued and Alison discovered a clinic in Dorset that used a very successful protocol from Mexico, and practiced by Dr Contreras. The protocol included an intravenous drip of B17(laetrile), vitamin C and DMSO (a chelating therapy). Having experienced success with her Father, Alison started a clinic in Baldock and engaged with Dr Wetzler to administer the drip. The treatment was very expensive and so Alison had the idea of setting up a Trust to assist those people who couldn't afford it. Some money was raised through the London to Brighton, gift donations and a CD that Alison recorded. The Healthcare Commission though had other ideas and deemed this treatment non-usable. So this part of the Baldock clinic was closed. However, with money for the trust in the bank, Alison was anxious that this money continue to assist those with cancer. This year, we are pleased to announce that The Cancer Support Trust was accepted by The Charity Commission. Alison's commitment and determination has created a charity so that cancer clients may get any kind of complementary treatment supporting their recovery.
