The trustees of The Cancer Support Trust include a chairperson and 3 Trustees, who meet often to discuss the future of the charity, and to decide upon client invitation into The Cancer Support Trust.

Alison Wyndham - Chairperson

Alison, founder of the wyndham centres began her career in 1971 when she trained as a physiotherapist at the Middlesex Hospital in London. Alison opened her first practice from her home in Baldock in 1979. She now runs one centre in London and one in Hertfordshire.

Alison became interested in alternative therapies to complement traditional treatments and in 1980 qualified in acupuncture at the Centre for the Study of Complementary Medicine. Alison’s interest in complementary medicine grew, especially in relation to clinical ecology (food sensitivities) and nutrition. In 1982 Alison qualified in vega testing. In the same year Alison also qualified in Vega Testing, a revolutionary test to detect food sensitivities and general health based on biological energy.

Debbie Hagland - Trustee

Debbie began her career in the banking industry working for an international bank in South Africa where she and her husband lived for 19 months. Upon returning to the UK she worked for a Building Society in Hitchin.

Debbie lives in Baldock with her husband, three children and dog. She has always had an interest in complementary medicine and therefore feels that she has found the ideal job working at the wyndham centre where she has been since 1998. In fact she has likened the wyndham centre to The Hotel California – ‘once you join you can never leave’!

Along with Jacqui she job shares the position of Practice Manager of the Baldock and London Wyndham centers.

Jacqui Roydhouse - Trustee

Jacqui received her Medical Secretarial and Practice Management diploma in 1980 from North Herts College. She then spent five years working as Practice Manager for a General Surgeon in the Harley Street area. Wanting a change from medicine Jacqui moved into the world of computers, and became Sales and Support Administrator for a company producing computer software for the market research industry. She left after six years in 1991 to start a family.

Jacqui shares the position of Practice Manager of the wyndham centers with Debbie

Tina Atkins - Trustee

Tina worked at British Aerospace before starting her family and joined the wyndham centre in 1987 as General Shop Assistant for Good Living, progressing to Manager a few years later.

Over the years Tina has amassed an immense knowledge of the complementary health system, especially the treatments and therapies available at the wyndham centre. It is this experience and interest in people’s general health that have made her a natural advisor.

After a training period Tina took on the new role of Doctors Assistant helping Doctor Michael Wetzler with WW Cancer Care.

Presently Tina helps with the day to day running of the clinic
